SumsumSummer Time!

This was an EXTREMELY busy summer. These boys keep every minute of every day booked up. I had to work this summer as well, so it got a little tricky sometimes. All 3 boys played allstars. Scott and Michael's teams didn't go very far, but Dallin's Senior league team went to state in Vancouver. That was pretty exciting and fun to play teams from all over the state. We ended up getting knocked out of the running by a team from Redmond. They were such a great team and were really great sports. It was a pleasure to be around such nice parents and players. Scott went on to play for a select team from SK..CHAOS!! What a fun group of boys. I love the coaches and am really going to miss them when they go on to coach other teams next year. Scott's pitching really came together as the pitching mound was a little further away on most fields that they played on. He could really put his umph into it. One tourney, he pitched 116 pitches!!!

Scott's last year of day camp was this year. He is a Webelo now, so he got to go with only boys his age. They held it at Van Zee Park again. It is so stinkin' hot there. I am looking forward to other adventures for him next year. He did a great job this year in the archery tourney. He took top place for the most points all week. What a buddy!!!

Tom's Birthday :) For Tom's birthday this year, I decided to kidnap him and take him to the San Juan Islands to go camping. He had no idea where we were going. It was fun to keep it secret. Did you know that it costs $100 to ride the ferry to the San Juans??!! YIKES It sure was a perfect day, though!

Until Now

My days off work are few and far between. I have been documenting our busy life and the boys growing by leaps and bounds in photo format. I have to take a few hours every few months and review what has been going on! Basketball ended in February. We only had a few weeks rest before baseball began. All three boys had great seasons. I miss basketball. It is indoors. I live in Washington. Need I say more? :)

Michael free throw
In February, my little Dalliroo turned 14...and grew 2 more inches...and is now wearing his 3rd suit in less than a year. I love when they dress up on Sunday. I love how clean and sharp they look once a week. Aaaah. Future missionaries!

Aaaand, now for baseball. Michael and Scott are playing for Southern again this year. I am not sure if we'll move them to Western next year. We've been with Southern since Dallin was 6. We'll see. Michael is in his last year in Majors. He's doing so great. His health has really improved, so he's starting to get back into his groove. I love watching him play :) He's so calm and humble. He usually plays first base and pitcher.

Then, there's Scott. He's nicknamed "Thunder." He is sooo passionate about  the game. He cracks me up every game. He is only baseball age 9 this year, so he turns quite a few heads. He's 5 ft 4 inches tall and is a tank!

Dallin is playing for Western Little League this year. His buddies from school all play there and we live in their boundaries now, so we decided to make the switch. Little did we know that they would pull him up into the Seniors. Uh. His teammates drive themselves to practice. He was a little intimidated at first, but the team pulled him in and have really supported him. His nickname is "Big Rig". Love it!
He has done a little pitching this year. He's starting to remember how good he is. I loved watching him pitch for Cedar Heights against Sedgwick. Saweeet. He did awesome.

Scott turned 10 this May. Oh, I love watching them grow up, but I miss my little babies. Scott was trying to decide what to do for his party. I said, "What's your favorite animal?" He slowly smiled and said mischievously, "a liger." Oh, only Scott. So, we planned to eat "tots," "dang quesadillas," "1% milk," etc. in honor of Napoleon Dynamite.

January 2013

January continues with basketball. Dallin really enjoyed playing for Cedar this year. He had a great team that really supported each other. He's made some nice friends, too. The biggest concern is those darn shoes. Hopefully he'll stay that size for a while. They get purdy spensive at that size. Dallin really improved his game this year...much more aggressive and drove to the net more often. I think he also had the most rebounds. Kinda nice being over 6 foot tall at age 13.

Michael's Pee Wee season started, too. He is playing on Junior High courts now, so it's a lot more demanding. Michael has improved so much with his ball handling. His coaches have really been pushing that this year. His team has the nicest boys. They are always patting each other on the back and encouraging each other. LOVE IT!

Now...it's Scotty's turn. He got the nickname, THUNDER, in baseball last year. It is so fitting. They even played ACDC's song for his theme. Hilarious. He loves it. He is an all-out kind of kid. He leaves everything on the court. That kid plays so hard. It is a little sad, though, that he's only 9. The kids his age are barely able to dribble, and he's going coast-to-coast. We have to continually remind him to take it easy on the lil' guys. He's really improving on his layups this year.

A little stuffing to go with that?

Yes, this got a much deserved turn at the free throw line for Scott.

Pssst....Mr. Bremerton, you're on the wrong side of the shooter :)

Tom has finally found "THE" truck to restore with Dallin. He has 2 years until Dal is 16 to drive this. They plan on spending many o'Saturdays fixin' this beast up. I can't wait to see (and hear) how this puppy is gunna turn out!

We all acquired mountain bikes this last year and the boys are finally all big enough to handle them. We have tons of trails around our house that we get to explore. We definitely need to do this more often!!! SO fun!

Bohunk and I on a nice Sunday mornin'. Love this guy!

Our December 2012

Oh, how December flew by in a blur! I am not sure what we were thinkin' having 3 boys. They are all active and interested in so many things...it keeps us running. Dallin (13, 8th grade) is doing great in junior high. He plays on the football, basketball, and baseball teams. He also is in band and keeps his grades all A's. He is very tired at the end of the day, needless to say. He is 6 foot tall now and wearing 14-15 in mens shoes. I am scared to think of what we'll be buying when he's a senior!

Michael (12, 6th grade) is enjoying his last year of elementary school. He has an awesome teacher this year, which is helping. He really pushes those kids to excel. I love watching him stretch and learn. He is still playing drums and even got a drum set for Christmas from his crazy mama and dad. We are very thankful to have a basement:) He is also playing basketball with PeeWees, church, and school.

this is the pinewood truck Michael made with his dad for the unlimited derby the YM had:)

Michael in his band concert...focused

Every year we go to Bellevue for their Snowflake Lane festival. This year was probably our last, though. It was a 2 hour wait to get into the restaurants and the crowds were UNBELIEVABLE! We got separated as a family and it really defeated the whole purpose of going. So, we'll have to find another tradition next year.

Another tradition is having Dad read the boys a Christmas story every year on Christmas Eve. It is usually a quiet and peaceful night to just relax and focus on the spirit. I love this time!

This is my absolute favorite expression from Christmas day...Oh, Scott!

Scott sneakin' some of Grandma's caramel corn:O

Michael was spoiled by Uncle Mike with these Copics!!! I expect some amazing artwork from that boy!

About Me

My photo
I am a mom to three wonderful boys. My DH worked hard to allow me to stay home and raise these lil' guys for almost 11 years. I am now working at a local hospital as an inpatient pharmacy technician. This is a new adventure for me. I hope I can balance everything out. In my "spare" time, I love to scrapbook the memories we are making.
