numba' 61 RainDEVIL

Here we are in football season. Tom is so excited to be an assistant coach this year over the offensive line. He loves teaching the boys. It's been a rough go. They look so much better this year, though. Cedar's 7th grade team was undefeated last year, but I think they'll have to fight harder this year as a JV team. Dallin is 61...ma' boy!!

Perfect pop block to make Dad proud:)

Back to School

I love school. I love learning and I love the consistency and scheduling that it forces into my household. The boys don't realize how much better and productive they are when they are in school.
This is the first time in 4 years that I got to be home with my boys for the first day of school.

A Lil Chaos

Scott was able to join our South Kitsap Select Chaos team this year. The Hubbells were so understanding about Sundays! He loved getting to play even MORE baseball. He never failed to get the crowd roaring. He was so goofy. One time he was pegged with a pitch and it hit his cup...he hit the ground immediately out of impulse, but then looked up at the stands and started belly laughing. I thought I was gunna cry. He is so fun and happy. His nickname was "THUNDER"

Scott had a loose piece of leather string that he would chew on before every pitch...I had to leave it for good luck:)

Tom was so excited to be able to be one of the sponsors for the team this year.

Papa's Party

My Dad's birthday is at the best time of year!!! August is always nice. We had a little family BBQ at his joint and just played. It was so relaxing.

I decided to keep with the theme of our outing and have a hot rod birthday for Tom. We had family over for a lil' camp fire and, of course, Mexican food. He has had enchiladas every year since we've been married:) It was so fun to print up all the old pictures of his high school hot rod, his dad's hot rod, his grandparents' hot rods, etc. Every picture that I could find of anyone in his family and their old cars. He was really excited to see all the pics. I definitely found his soft spot. His parents brought his old cub scout shirt, all his old missionary letters, etc. This just added to the nostalgia of the event.

Tom's 39th

Tom's birthday was yesterday and we got to spend it doing something he LOVES. We headed out to the raceway in Kent for SIR's Good Guys Nostalgia Races. It was pretty cool seeing all the old cars. He cared about the motor. I cared about the purdy paint jobs:) Then we got to stick around for some racing. It was pretty cool to see him teaching his boys all about the ins and outs of racing there. His stories from when he was racing were pretty funny, too. Priceless.

Oregon 2012

We took a few days off and drove down to Oregon for a lil' family reunion on my dad's side. It was so nice to get away. We had VERY little sun, though. The boys didn't seem to notice because they wasted no time divin' into that freezin' cold water. I thought I would walk out a ways, but...AAAAAHHHH! It was freezing! I couldn't feel my toes. Dern! Crazy boys.

DOUBLE brrr. Scott's boogie board flew better than our lame kite.

Papa came to train the dragon, but, alas, it DID NOT WORK!

About Me

My photo
I am a mom to three wonderful boys. My DH worked hard to allow me to stay home and raise these lil' guys for almost 11 years. I am now working at a local hospital as an inpatient pharmacy technician. This is a new adventure for me. I hope I can balance everything out. In my "spare" time, I love to scrapbook the memories we are making.
