The Big 6

Tom and Logan discussing how spoiled all his "bugs" are going to be because he got so many "rooms" for them to run around in...not sure about this:)

Michael about to be pelted with not one, but TWO water bombs! What a great way to cool off!

I had to sneak this picture:) I love when Betsy does her hair curly!

Oh, yum!

Tom played football with Dallin and Michael and Scott and Logan and Jackson, and and and

We enjoyed beautiful weather yesterday for the celebration of Mr.Logan's birthday. We all met up at the local park to enjoy some of Tom's sweet creation (he used Dots...it HAD to be good:)) and play with water. Logan requested water and Legos for his party and that is JUST WHAT HE GOT!

Happy Birfday, Papa

Dad and Dallin

Sca-booty!

Mr. Justin

Dad's birthday had PERFECT weather for an outdoor shin-dig:) We sprawled out in their front yard and enjoyed pizza, pop, salad, and DESSERT! I made flan (pronounced flan) from a recipe that we've devoured since I was a lil' girl. Mmmmm. Costco has perfect strawberries.

and flan (pronounced flon) from a recipe that my Dad's mom got while in Italy. It is so smoothe and creamy! I had one of her favorite potter friends in Twin Falls make this dish to serve the flan in. The corners that fan out from the platter are there so that an 8X8 glass pan can fit right inside to dump the flan in after it is baked. It is FAB! I didn't know if the kids would all like it...they all pouted when there wasn't seconds, so next time...I guess I need another platter:)Love you Dad!!!

BS is for Butterscotch!!

We just had a fabulous time at the Purdy Spit. What a perfect day for it! The sun was shinin' and the breeze was blowin'. Aaaah. We got to meet up with Logan and Betsy for a few hours. Scott was the only one brave enough to get all the way in the water. He's a wild man:) Next time we go, we really need to bring intertubes!! The boys searched for a lizard, played with Mr. Deadcrab, skipped rocks, read books, and drank the YUMMIEST milkshakes from Dexters. Mine was pineapple and it was delisshhh!

Tom:"We've got a lizard on the wall"

WHAT??!! How could this happen? I've had big, ugly, creepy spiders in the house, turtles in the front yard, snakes in the garden, but LIZARDS ON MY WALL??!! Not cool. I immediately wanted Tony to come over and catch it. He used to have pet lizards when we were growing up. EW. The boys loved it, though. An exciting end to a busy day:)

Tommy's gettin' another year older

My bohunk!

Dessert!!!!

S'mores kits the boys made.

"THE" enchiladas

We had our first birthday party at our house on Wednesday. Our home is such a work in progress that we haven't been able to have anyone over. Now that the weather is nice, we set up a couple tables out under the deck for shade and chairs EVERYWHERE. We had 24 people here to celebrate. It was fun...a little Chris Ledoux playin' smores for the kids, and most importantly...ENCHILADAS. Tom has had these ever since he can remember. It takes his mom all day to make them. My mom made some pico de gallo, Sixta made some hot salsa, and we had a taco bar to fill in for those that can't take the heat! Finished off with lemon cake, angel food cake, strawberries, rice crispy treats, italian sodas....UGH! We were stuffed!!!!

Pioneer Day

Our ward actually had its own Pioneer Day celebration. It was organized by all the auxilaries, so it had a ton of people involved. Tom brought his old saws and some logs for a lil' competition with the elders:) Three legged races, sack races, tug-o-war, baking competitions (I did NOT enter this...just finished a wedding cake earlier in the day...NO MORE BAKING!), good food (Mom's fried chicken and potato salad), horseshoes, cowchip tossing (tee hee hee)...what a beautiful day for it!

CUB Scouts

So, now I have 2 boys that go to day camp....that means 2 days spent at the camp with a bunch of rowdy boys! Whew! Those were LONG days. At least it wasn't hot this year. This park has NO shade and it gets swelterin' if the sun comes out. This was Scott's first year, so it was really fun watching him get to do all the "boy" stuff. He even got 21 bullseye beads! Not that he gets any practice at home or anything:) Michael loved what they made in woodworking: a bench, a parascope, a canon, ....really great stuff this year. Same ol' lady was running the cooking booth, though. She's been there since my brothers were cubs. Grumpy as ever...good thing the kids were oblivious.

About Me

My photo
I am a mom to three wonderful boys. My DH worked hard to allow me to stay home and raise these lil' guys for almost 11 years. I am now working at a local hospital as an inpatient pharmacy technician. This is a new adventure for me. I hope I can balance everything out. In my "spare" time, I love to scrapbook the memories we are making.
