Sunday

Oh, how I love Sundays! Ya know? The world just leaves ya alone for one day a week. The boys were lookin' so dapper this Sunday, so I made them pose for a few quick shots. The sun was even shining! Scott was mad in his picture because he didn't want to wear a sweater, but it was in the 30's, so mean Mom insisted. Boy, life is rough, isn't it?

Merry Christmas

Oh, what a Christmas this was. So many kind and generous family members and friends made this a truly memorable season. The boys were spoiled...I mean, well taken care of:) They started the day with us at home. Dallin finally got to open the present that I told him would make him cry:) It was a pair of GREEN pocket knives. He loves green and pocket knives, so this was a real treat. Then, we were off to Nana and Papa's house. It was tricky getting there because we still hadn't been lucky enough to get our road plowed.

My dad spent much of December in his workshop with the boys helping them make each other a gift. Michael made this lil' house for Scott's "guys". Scott helped Papa make a special box to keep Dallin's knives safe and Dallin helped make a pencil holder for Michael's new desk. Oh, that desk! Dad worked on that for a month!! It turned out so perfect! Michael is our artist, so he has a place to sit and draw to his heart's content. We are so appreciative to everyone that made this difficult Christmas one to remember.

My lil' helper

Scott loves to help me! I am lucky to have boys that are willling to do chores. As long as I am right there with them, they will do anything I ask them. It's the jobs they need to do alone that they struggle with.:) I was laughing so hard at Scott diving into the washer to get the clothes. What a cutie Bug!

Snow Days

Brrr! It is tad bit cold here! We got 5 inches of snow accumulated, which is a ton for this area. I can only remember 2 or 3 times since I have lived here that we have had that much stay on the ground. It isn't getting any warmer, either. We are supposed to get another round tonight bringing 5-8 more inches. YIKES. The boys are in HEAVEN. They have been sledding and 4-wheeling all week.

This year's picture

We took a few pictures on Thanksgiving of the boys. They all turned out pretty goofy, but here is one of them.

This is Dad...he was ACTUALLY cold. This is the first time he's ever admitted to that:)

AND, by the way, Dad made some of the best gravy EVER this year!
Happy Holidays to all of you!! I can't wait for the Christmas gravy:)

Chef Scotty

Katie came over on Saturday for some craftin' time. She helped Scott make dessert for the night. It was SOOOOO yummy...and perfectly easy for a lil' guy like Scott. He had his apron on and everything. It was a can of apple pie filling, a can of crushed pineapple, a white cake mix sprinkled over it, butter cut on top, and then a final sprinkling of chopped walnuts.

Ward Tailgate Party

So, I am now our ward activities chairman. We wanted to do our annual chili cookoff with a twist, so my committee and I came up with an indoor tailgate party. It was so fun and everyone participated. We had each table come up with a license plate to put up and they also had taillights. Then, whatever they brought for food was on their "tailgate" and we all wandered around tasting the different food. Whew! It was a busy, but a really fun night...not to mention, it was a great activity to invite friends to. Of course, Scotty won the pie eating contest...again. He also tied with Michael for the donut eating contest. Maybe I deprive my kids of sweets too much, so they just go to town when it is in front of them:) HA HA Sounds like a good reason.

About Me

My photo
I am a mom to three wonderful boys. My DH worked hard to allow me to stay home and raise these lil' guys for almost 11 years. I am now working at a local hospital as an inpatient pharmacy technician. This is a new adventure for me. I hope I can balance everything out. In my "spare" time, I love to scrapbook the memories we are making.
